vidzza ("we", "us", or "our") operates vidzza.com, a suite of free YouTube tools. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you visit our website or use our services. By using vidzza, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of data:

  • Account data: When you register, we store your email address, hashed password, and optional display name.
  • Usage logs: Server logs record the pages you visit, API endpoints called, timestamps, and your IP address. Logs are retained for 30 days.
  • API call data: When you use our tools, we log the YouTube video IDs and tool type to enforce rate limits and detect abuse. We do not store the content of videos or transcripts you request.

  • YouTube Data API / RapidAPI: Our tools use the YouTube API and RapidAPI-hosted endpoints to retrieve public video metadata, transcripts, and download links. Your requests are forwarded to these services; their own privacy policies apply.
  • Google Fonts: Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which involves a request to Google's CDN. If you decline functional cookies, fonts fall back to system fonts.
  • Tailwind CDN: The Tailwind CSS framework is loaded from the Tailwind CDN. This is a functional dependency.

5. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide, maintain, and improve our services.
  • To authenticate you and protect your account.
  • To enforce API rate limits and Terms of Service.
  • To send transactional emails (e.g., password reset). We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Server logs are purged after 30 days. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see Section 8). Upon deletion, your email, name, and API usage records are removed within 30 days.

We use industry-standard measures including TLS encryption for data in transit, bcrypt password hashing, and access controls on our database. No transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
